In the statistical Yearbook of Iceland 2014, Statistics Iceland published today key statistics of Iceland. One of the elements that stand out is the fact that 69% of gross energy consumption from Iceland came from geothermal. The rest comes from hydro energy (18%) and 14% from imported energy (oil and coal). In 1992 the share of imported energy was 34%.
