Held for the second time this year, the UK Deep Geothermal Symposium took place in September 2012.
The event was set up to provide a forum to an industry in development in the UK. There are currently – from what I am aware – about 3-4 projects being planned. Two of those are EGS technology power projects and two or more on the district heating side.
The event featured a number of high profile speakers and developers providing an update on their companies’ activities.
SKM also provided an overview on its report that estimated the UK’s deep geothermal resources.
