GeoTHERM 2026 in Offenburg, Germany to dedicate space to startups and young innovators

The 19th edition of the GeoTHERM expo & congress has once again attracted a high level of interest from Germany and abroad with the entire exhibition area now fully booked. Of particular interest this year are dedicated spaces for start-ups and young and innovative companies. The event will be taking place at the Messe Offenburg in Offenburg, Germany on 26-27 February 2026.

The list of registered exhibitors and companies is now also available.

The GeoTHERM expo & congress holds the distinction of being the largest trade fair for the geothermal energy industry in Europe. Last year’s edition was a great success, posting a record number of 8,522 trade visitors and 280 exhibitors from 23 nations.

A special highlight of this year’s event is once again the Start-up Area, which provides a stage for young and innovative companies. Here, start-ups present their forward-looking products, technologies and services. The area not only offers space for presentations, but also valuable networking opportunities.

New this year is the BMWK ‘Young Innovators’ funding programme, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK). This programme supports young, innovative companies from Germany who want to present their ideas and technologies to an international audience of experts at GeoTHERM.

There are only a few places left in the Start-Up Area and Young Innovator Area. So it pays to be quick!

Parallel to the exhibition, two specialist conferences will be held, focusing specifically on the latest scientific developments in near-surface and deep geothermal energy. Over two days, you can expect forward-looking topics, current developments, practical experience reports and specialist presentations by international experts.

Thanks to state-of-the-art AI technology, this year’s presentations will be translated into German, English and French via an AI-supported translation app – both with audio and subtitles. Participants can thus follow the language of their choice in real time – conveniently via their own smartphone or tablet. For an optimal listening experience, we recommend bringing your own headphones.
