Geothermal energy can have a great impact on a country, as Iceland has shown. In Turkey, the country’s Energy Ministry believes the country could save up to US$400 million annually by fully using its geothermal energy potential .
The net income from the geothermal energy sector could be up to US$10 billion in the medium term and provide employment to up to 300,000 people. This is all ander the premise that the country would fully and efficiently utilize its geothermal energy potential.
