Abstract submission has now been opened for the 17th edition of the European Geothermal PhD Days (EGPD 2026), taking place on 7-10 April 2026 at the Montanuniversität Leoben in Leoben, Austria.
Guidelines on abstract submission, and the link to submit abstracts, can be found via this link. Abstracts will be accepted only until 31 January 2026. Note that submitting an abstract is already considered a registration for EGPD 2026.
Researchers working on projects related to the following topics are invited to submit abstracts:
- Geophysical and geological exploration
- Reservoir processes and modeling
- Geothermal drilling, wells, and engineering technologies
- Shallow geothermal and underground thermal energy storage (UTES)
- Deep and Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS/UDG)
- Geothermal power conversion and surface systems
- Environmental impact, risk, and sustainability
- Data science, monitoring, and digitalization
- Geothermal economics, policy, and market development
Those who can submit abstracts before 10 December 2025 also have an opportunity present a poster and register for free at the World Geothermal Congress 2026, taking place next year in Calgary, Canada. Click here for more details on this opportunity.
