Call for contributions – French Geothermal Days, 19-20 June 2025

The French Association of Geothermal Professionals (AFPG) has opened the Call for Contributions for the 2025 edition of the French Geothermal Days / Journées de la Géothermie set to take place in Biarritz on the 19th and 20th of June 2025.

Abstracts will be accepted until the 15th of November 2024. For guidelines on the abstracts and how to submit, check out the official terms for contributions.

The event will have 8 sessions for which abstracts are currently being accepted:

  • Session 1: Innovations in deep geothermal energy – from exploration to operational performance
  • Session 2: Geothermal energy and adaptation to climate change
  • Session 3: the role of geothermal energy in France, in decarbonization, energy sovereignty and reindustrialization
  • Session 4: solutions and tools for massifying surface geothermal energy
  • Session 5: regional initiatives
  • Session 6: Innovations in deep geothermal energy – architecture, completion and management of deep wells
  • Session 7: Geothermal Lithium
  • Session 8: French know-how for export

Organized every three years, the French Geothermal Days / Journées de la géothermie is an opportunity to meet and discuss with the main players in the geothermal sector, as well as with public and private users who play a key role in its promotion.
