On October 27, the United States Department of Energy announced a $1.15 million funding opportunity for small businesses to expand U.S. markets for geothermal electricity production or direct-use applications (not including ground source heat pumps). Funds will be awarded based on innovations in under-utilized markets and technology transfer.
