In the Philippines, Energy Development Corp. (EDC) has restarted unit 1 of its Bacon-Manito (Bacman) geothermal power plant.
In a release to the Philippines Stock Exchange, the company reported that the plant is now operating at full capacity (unit 1 has a capacity of 55 MW).
EDC shut down the unit for inspection. Unit 2 had also been shut off due to damaged caused by a sheared off turbine blade.
The plants are located in Sorsogon and Albay, Philippines.
