Despite the opposition by the Governor of Bali on development in Bedugul, Bali, The Bali Legislative Council still seems to support development of this geothermal project.
Sonny Keraf, a member of Indonesia’s National Energy Council (DEN) is now urging investors to continue the development.
With a dependence on power from outside, geothermal could provide an opportunity for Bali to become electricity independent.
