INEEL Mexico announces new tender for geothermal drilling

Under File 2571516 , the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energies (INEEL) has launched a call for an International Public Tender under the Non-Reimbursable Financing Agreement with Contingent Recovery No. GRT/TC-14424-ME of the Inter-American Development Bank ( IDB). The purpose of this tender is to contract geothermal well drilling services in batches in various geothermal areas in Mexico. Previously, we announced the tender File 2566334 framed within the same agreement No. GRT/TC-14424.

• Briefing: September 7, 2023; 11:00 a.m. CDMX.
• Visit to facilities (optional): From September 12 to 15, 2023.
• Clarification meeting: September 22, 2023; 10:00 a.m. from CDMX.
• Deadline for the submission of offers: October 16, 2023; 10:00 a.m. from CDMX.
• Bid opening date: October 16, 2023; 11:00 a.m. CDMX.

• Lot I: Visit on September 15, 2023 in the geothermal area of Cerro Prieto, Baja California.
• Lot II: Visit on September 12, 2023 in the geothermal area of Los Negritos, Michoacán. On September 13, 2023 in the geothermal area of San Marcos, Jalisco.

Bidders interested in visiting must express their interest at least three (3) business days in advance to the email perforadores-pgm@ineel.mx , providing information on the personnel who will attend the visit.

Other important details:

• Bidders can present their offers through printed documents or through CompraNet 5.0.
• The deadline for the delivery of offers is October 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Mexico City (CDMX).
• Bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 a.m. CDMX at the offices located at Reforma 113, Colonia Palmira, Cuernavaca, Morelos, CP 62490.
• The drilling services will be carried out according to the technical specifications and the Activities Program indicated in the Bidding Documents.
• Payment will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Bidding Documents.
• Negotiations will not be allowed under the conditions contained in the Bidding Documents or in the offers presented by the Bidders.
• This tender is not subject to the coverage of the public sector purchase chapters of the Free Trade Agreements signed by Mexico.
