Job openings: geothermal drilling engineer, plant operators, Ormat, Nevada

Ormat has several openings for its geothermal operations in Nevada.

• INTERN – DRILLING ENGINEER, Reno/ Nevada: Assist drilling engineering staff with planning, coordination, and analysis of drilling activities. This may include assisting with preparation of drilling programs and planning workflows, reviews of historical drilling reports, drilling data and statistical analysis for efficiency and optimization opportunities, and observations of drilling operations.
• DRILLING ENGINEER, Reno/ Nevada: This position is responsible for the planning, directing and coordination of drilling activities to include preparation and implementation of drilling engineering programs. This position is also responsible for regulatory agency approvals and preparation of the drilling budget to include controlling expenditures and justifying variances.
• MANAGER ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, SAFETY, Vale/ Oregon: This position is responsible for designing, implementing and improving EHS programs, improving the site safety culture, assisting management in injury and illness prevention, and ensuring operations are in compliance with local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations.
• PLANT OPERATOR 1, Elko/ Nevada: The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with plant safety procedures and standard operating procedures.
• PLANT OPERATOR 1, Fernley/ Nevada: The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with plant safety procedures and standard operating procedures.
• PLANT OPERATOR 1, Austin/ Nevada: The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with plant safety procedures and standard operating procedures.
• PLANT OPERATOR 1, Tungsten/ Nevada: The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with Plant Safety Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures. Additional duties include; monitoring plant systems and equipment on a continuous basis, and responding to alarms and out of specification parameters by taking appropriate corrective action.
• MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY, Reno/ Nevada: This position is responsible for implementing, administering and improving EHS programs, improving the site safety culture, assisting management in injury and illness prevention, and ensuring operations are in compliance with local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations at all Ormat operating locations. This position will assist the Director, EHS in support of O&M teams, to maintain a culture where employees at all levels understand EHS processes and are committed to maintaining a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
