Job – Senior Geophysicist- Geothermal, GNS Science, NZ

GNS Science in New Zealand is seeking to fill a role for a  Senior Geophysicist. The role will have an in-depth interdisciplinary focus across the geothermal exploration spectrum and will include providing specialist geophysical input into a wide variety of projects the team is involved in.

As one of the Senior Geophysicists in the team you will be required to lead geophysical studies and deliver high quality research outputs in both the research and commercial space.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Extensive experience with bringing together multi-disciplinary studies of geothermal fields or hydrological systems
• Extremely high analytical and quantitative skills with geophysics and geophysical modelling. This could be, but not limited to the fields of electromagnetics, gravity, magnetics, and resistivity
• Demonstrated excellence in report writing and leading / co-authoring scientific journal articles
• Exceptional project management skills
• Strong links to industry nationally and internationally
• A proactive and motivated approach to leading teams and developing others
• Commitment to achieving a high standard of work, with quality as a prime consideration
• Innovation, integrity and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
