The Federal Electricity Commission has awarded the Los Azufres III geothermal power project to the Diamante Azufres consortium which had offered to develop the plant of 50 MW for $69.8 million.
The project includes construction of the plant both internal turbines of 25 MW each, an electrical substation, transmission lines and the engine room.
The Diamante Azufres consortium consists of Mitsubishi and supporting firms.
