In a nice video by local TV station KiTV from Hawaii shows some historic footage of the geothermal plant of Puna, but also a 3 MW geothermal test plant of 1976, that was supposed to operate for three years, but then operated for six years.
The video also looks at some of the more difficult history surrounding a well blow-out and local issues.
