Registration is open for “Geothermal 2026 – Accelerating Geothermal Energy” taking place on 11-12 March 2026. This will be a hybrid event with options to participate either in-person at the Chester Hotel in Aberdeen, UK, or via a virtual events platform. The event is being organized by SPE Aberdeen.

SPE Aberdeen has already announced the technical programme for the 2026 Geothermal Seminar, highlighting projects and initiatives challenging conventional approaches and exploring what’s next to maximise geothermal’s transformational impact. Now in its fifth year, the seminar continues to serve as a valued event for sharing research, operational insights, and next-generation innovations that are taking geothermal energy to its maximum potential.
Among the speakers at the seminar are representatives from University of Aberdeen, Geothermal Engineering Ltd., QHeat, TownRock Energy, Ceraphi Energy, the Mining Remediation Authority, and the National Geothermal Centre, among several others.
The event organizers also offering sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, as well as an option for early career professionals to attend the seminar for free.
