The 2026 Taiwan International Geothermal Conference (TIGC 2026), organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by the Energy Administration (E.A), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), will be held on March 26–27, 2026, at the CPC Conference Hall in Taipei. The conference aims to accelerate Taiwan’s next-generation geothermal development and strengthen international cooperation.
TIGC 2026 will focus on four key themes: Taiwan’s geothermal policies and current progress; international geothermal development and government experiences; next-generation geothermal technologies (EGS, AGS, SGS) innovative applications; and geothermal plant operations and local government engagement. Through policy, technology, and industry exchange, the conference seeks to enhance Taiwan’s geothermal capabilities and promote global knowledge sharing.
The first day will feature a Geothermal Technology and Solutions Expo concurrently, while the second day will host professional workshops and a site visit to Qingshui Geothermal Hot Spring Park, highlighting Taiwan’s integrated geothermal applications.
Additional details, including timeline, registration and other information will be posted in the coming weeks.

The previous edition of the TIGC, held in April 2025, drew more than 700 participants around the world. The event featured high-level discussions, workshops, and a technical site visit to the Yuanshan No.1 Well, Taiwan’s first deep geothermal exploratory well.
