Good news from Taiwan, where local news state that the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) said yesterday that “it will begin a resource development plan to harness geothermal energy from the Tatun Volcano Group by building a station in New Taipei’s Jinshan District”
The same source states that “after two years of geographic surveillance and analysis of geothermal data, experts decided that a location in the mountainous Jinshan District, a part of the Tatun Volcano Group”
This will allow to generate around 7MW of electricity contributing to reduce carbon emissions and provide heating for housing projects.
