In an informative video shared by The Business Year, a glimpse is given into why geothermal is so important for Indonesia. With en electrification rate of only around 80% today, the government plans to increase this to 99% by 2025 and sees geothermal as an important part of the energy mix.
With current plans, geothermal power generation is expected to represent 8% of all capacity in the country by 2025.
