Wasabi Energy has annoucned it has secured an EPC contract with Chinese oil giant Sinopec for its Kalina Cycle power plant.
It is for a 4 MW Kalina Cycle system that will be used for electricity generation from waste heat from a chemical plant.
So while this is not for a geothermal plant, Shenghe NewEnergy Resources Science and Technology, as a subsidiary of Wasabi Energy, sees this as the basis for a “larger scale roll out and establishing engineering teams to cover a global expansion in geothermal and waste heat,’ John Byrne, the chairman of Wasabi Energy announced.
