Webinar – Risk management during geothermal drilling and testing, 6 February 2026

Registration is open for a webinar on “Risk management during the drilling and testing of deep geothermal projects” to be hosted by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) on 6 February 2026 at 11:00 – 12:45 CET.

Click here to register for the webinar. The full agenda is also available via the same link. Registration is free.

This webinar will be an opportunity to learn about the Guideline ‘Risk management during the drilling and testing phase of deep geothermal projects’ that was published in 2025 by the Federal Association of Natural Gas, Petroleum, and Geoenergy (BVEG)  in collaboration with the German Scientific Society for Sustainable Energy Sources, Mobility and Carbon Cycles (DGMK). The guideline is available in German and English.

This webinar is organised as part of EGEC’s campaign to promote the simplification of permitting for geothermal projects. This campaign covers all geothermal technologies and aims to promote the adaptation of relevant legislation and the adoption of new soft measures such as standards, codes and guidelines for geothermal energy.
